Live@TheLibrary: Miss Julie

June 25 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

“Destroy me if you like. I deserve it. I’m shameful. I disgust myself. But please, please help me get away.”

Northern England. 1951.The Festival of Britain is in full swing. Post-war austerity is losing its bite and things are starting to change. But for Miss Julie, they aren’t changing fast enough. Originally commissioned and produced for the Hyde Festival Theatre Company in 2013, Rob Johnston's adaptation subsequently toured the North West. This revival reunites some of the original cast.

Suitable for audience 14+

'the post-war period setting gives an added relevance to the changes in class consciousness at the heart of the story'
