Join GILIL's free music camp at Oldham Library this May half term to get started! \nSince 2005 Get It Loud In Libraries have been putting on high quality gigs in libraries with the best of established and break-through talent. We've had Adele's soulful pipes fill the room and Wolf Alice's fierce guitar riffs shake the stage. This May half term we are bringing the GILIL Academy to the young people of Oldham; offering participants the chance to learn about all things music industry\, meet new people and record your own track! \nBut what is the GILIL Academy programme and Music Camp? \nOur GILIL Academy programme supports young people’s participation and talent development in creative and cultural music activities. The programme seeks to challenge and change young people’s perceptions of libraries and to engage new them in using these unique and valuable community assets to their advantage. \nWhat to expect? \nThe GILIL Academy Artist 360 Music Camp taking place this May 2025 is a jam-packed series of unique opportunities for young people to explore their artistic identity and engage with live music through workshops and mentoring.
