DESCRIPTION:Play\, Learn\, Grow is a supportive 8 week coaching programme which focuses on supporting parents to support their child’s learning and development at home. \nThe programme is aimed at children aged 2-5 and empowers parents by giving activity ideas and strategies to try at home. We also incorporate REAL (Raising Early Achievement in Literacy) into all of our sessions. \nDuring each session parents are encouraged to reflect upon what has worked well for them and their child\, and to think about ways to continue to build upon this. \nOver the 8 weeks we focus on a variety of topics to support holistic development including listening and understanding\, speech and communication\, fine and gross motor skills\, literacy and early maths. The biggest focus of our sessions is creating a nurturing\, safe environment for parents and children to have fun playing and learning together. \nYounger siblings can come along to this session. \nInvite Only

DESCRIPTION:Festival Oldham returns to Oldham town centre on Saturday 30 May 2026\, 12 to 4pm\,  with a spectacular celebration of culture\, community and creativity set to kick-start the summer season. \nThis year’s free outdoor arts festival will also officially launch Oldham’s Greater Manchester Town of Culture programme\, Rising Up\, marking the beginning of an exciting year of arts and culture across the borough. \nInspired by all things green\, floral and full of summer energy\, Festival Oldham 2026 promises a blooming wonderful day of entertainment featuring local\, regional and national outdoor artists performing across the town centre. \nVisitors can enjoy an exciting programme of street theatre\, dance\, visual arts\, family performances and live music throughout the day. \nThe main stage on Parliament Square will host performances from: \n\nTaste of Sabrina\nBaked À La Ska\nUntold Orchestra\nSnow In August\n\nNew for 2026 is Dancing Town\, a showcase celebrating some of the very best dance talent from across the borough. \nFestivalgoers can also enjoy an incredible line-up of outdoor performances including: \n\nBee-Yond the Garden Gate by Limelight Circus\nEasy Lay Eggs by Fair Play\nThe Pigeons by Circii\n\nAlongside all the fun\, the majestic Summer Lion by Creature Encounters will also roam through the town centre across the day. \nWitness a breath-taking murmuration of starlings created by Burnley Brow Primary School in response to the exhibition Oldham Wakes by Sophie Tyrrell\, currently on display at Gallery Oldham until September.
