He nursed his wife through a terminal illness, but now spends all his spare time helping his neighbours and his community. He regularly takes a neighbour's kids to school in his car, brings everyone’s bins in and out on bin day, picks 15-20 community litter bags per week and uses a cordless blower to keep his avenue and the local footpaths clear of leaves.
