VIPERTIME ft. Troy Osmond | mjf

Vipertime comes to Oldham through an exciting new partnership with Manchester Jazz Festival.
mjf is the city's longest running music festival, known for championing new work, supporting emerging talent and celebrating the vibrant northern jazz scene.
“That was Vipertime. I wouldn't mind hanging out somewhere where that was going on" - Iggy Pop
Vipertime are a Leeds-born aggro-jazz four-piece whose sweat-soaked, rebellious blend of jazz, punk, dub and afrobeat has earned them a ferocious live reputation, critical acclaim and championing from the likes of Iggy Pop and Gilles Peterson.
Formed through a shared commitment to improvisation and risk-taking, Vipertime have grown steadily from an open-ended experimental project into a fully realised live and recording band, refining their identity through years of writing, collaboration and performance.
Their journey is marked by a continual push towards intensity and physicality, with rhythm, momentum and group interplay at the centre of their music. As their sound has developed, so too has their focus on creating immersive, communal experiences, positioning Vipertime as a band shaped as much by process and evolution as by the impact they generate on stage and in the studio.
Joined by Troy Osmond, vocalist of Moron Butler, you'll get to hear them perform songs off of their new collab album: "Vipertime & Moron Butler".
