Play, Learn and Grow

Play, Learn, Grow is a free, supportive eight-week coaching programme that gives parents and carers the skills to support their child’s learning and development at home with fun activities and strategies. The programme is aimed at children aged 18 months to 5 years old, but younger siblings can also come to sessions.

We focus on a range of topics across the eight weeks to support children's holistic development, including listening and understanding, speech and communication, fine and gross motor skills, literacy and early maths. Our biggest focus is creating a nurturing, safe environment for parents and children to have fun playing and learning together.

During each session, parents are encouraged to think about the strategies that are working well for them and their child, and how they can keep building on their progress at home. By empowering parents to support early learning and skill development at home, children are more likely to be ‘school ready’ and able to thrive in education.

Play, Learn, Grow is run with Home-Start HOST, who also lead programmes in schools and nurseries and through one-to-one home visits.
